Changing your major

To change majors within IT, you must file a petition. (Forms are available in 105 Lind Hall.) You must submit a copy of your current transcript along with your petition.

If you graduate from IT, but continue to register for courses, your student status/major automatically will change to adult special (non-degree) unless you had previously been admitted to a second (double) major.

To change majors from IT to another college unit or campus within the University, you must apply for transfer through the One Stop Student Services Center. You must apply as soon as possible of the projected transfer date (some colleges also have transfer application deadlines). You must meet the admission requirements of the unit you plan to enter.
