Transfer GPA guidelines
Admission is based on successful completion of appropriate and
the calculation of a "technical grade point average" (GPA)
using grades in calculus, chemistry, computer science, calculus-based
physics, and calculus-based statistics. If a specific course has
been repeated, only the second grade is used in the "technical
GPA" for the purpose of admission. Applicants are usually considered
for transfer if they have completed at least the freshman-year curriculum
of the major to which they are seeking admission.
Students who wish to transfer from one degree program to another
on the Twin Cities campus and those who want to transfer from University
of Minnesota coordinate campuses follow the application guidelines
for intra-University transfers.
Students applying for admission from colleges and universities
outside of the University of Minnesota system must meet the following
criteria:
* Enrollment is limited. You are encouraged to apply before the
priority deadline.
Students in the dual degree (3/2) program are admitted with grade
point averages at or below those listed in the “minimum for
consideration” column.
