Lind Hall Renovation

Vision for the Future

A warm, welcoming environment. A convenient, central location. A home away from home.

Lind HallThis is the vision for the future of the Institute of Technology Student Services Office on the first floor of Lind Hall. Our goal is to create a convenient “one-stop shop” for Institute of Technology undergraduate student services including orientation, academic advising, tutoring, study-abroad programs, diversity programming, and career planning.

Lind Hall, centrally located on the most heavily traveled academic walkway in the state, will become students’ academic home base during their time at the University of Minnesota. It will be a place where they can get questions answered or gather with friends to study. It also will serve as the heart of the Institute of Technology providing opportunities for the college to “tell its story” to prospective students, parents, industry partners, and alumni.

Our dream is to create a place where students receive individualized attention and can take ownership of their college community—a place to call their own on this large, urban campus.

In addition, Lind Hall will serve as a convenient resource for business and industry partners to interact with students and a welcome center for alumni visiting campus.
