K-12 outreach

ITAS encourages K-12 students to develop an interest in science and technology, advocates enrollment at the University, helps alumni get involved in K-12 activities, and brings together resources from business, education, and the University.

We need volunteers to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. We'll help you find a program that fits your interests and schedule. Examples of volunteer opportunities include:

• Coach, mentor, or judge teams of 4th-12th grade students that design, build, and program robots in FIRST Lego League
• Design exhibits for the hands-on technology museum, The Works
